Aloha Friday

Thursday, May 7, 2009

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question this week is: What have you learned this week? We all learn new things every day. It doesn't have to be deep or terribly intellectual. Just name any random thing you know now that you didn't last week.

I learned that roly polys (aka pill bug, wood louse) are actually not insects, but are isopod crustaceans (another type of arthropod). So there you go. Now you know two new things ;P

I learnt about 'Cinco De Mama' from blog hopping this week. I never knew such a day existed and it happens to be my birthday too!

Well tonight I found out if you put a dryer sheet in your pocket it will keep the mosquitoes away.

And if you want to get rid of ants sprinkle salt.

Happy Mothers Day
