Here we are on the doorstep of another New Year. It is baffling how quickly the time goes by. 2018 once felt like some abstract, distant, almost unfathomable space age era. Yet here I am. Odd isn't it, the way life weaves you through the struggles and triumphs of thousands of days, millions of minutes, billions of seconds, but when you look back it all seems to have passed as easily as fanning the pages of a book.

Christmas surely passed in a blink. We had a wonderful holiday filled with family gatherings, yummy food and an abundance of treats and gifts. I am so grateful for the love and companionship of family. We were especially blessed to be able to spend this holiday with my 102 year old grandmother as well. The memories we made were priceless, and I am so thankful that my children will have them to treasure for a lifetime.

How was your week?

I hope you had a wonderful week and a very happy holiday! Please link up your posts for the week below. I wish you a safe and joyful New Year full of blessings!

Happy Friday all! I am still doing the mad dash toward Christmas. How about you? Lots of last minute shopping, wrapping and baking going on here. Whew! It has been fun to spend some time with the kiddos in the kitchen. I used to bake often, but not so much anymore, as I'm usually too busy with work. I managed to ruin some zucchini bread this week, but the Spritz, chocolate chip and S'mores cookies survived my haphazard ways in the kitchen. ;)

Nothing terribly creative to share this week. (I know, I know, I've been lazy this year.) I just snapped a few shots here and there of the kiddos and the hairy beasts. I'll try to find my get-up-and-go in the near future. Promise.

Thank you fo visiting. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas/Holiday season!!

Happy Friday friends! Hard to believe we are only 2 weeks away from 2018! I remember being a kid and thinking how wild it would be to see the year 2000 - I don't think I could even fathom 2018 at that point. No one dreams of being in their 40s, ha ha.

I worked like a dog over the past week. My shooting schedule has slowed, thankfully! Only two more sessions this year - so far (the week of Christmas - New Years is usually busy with family sessions), but I hope to be able to take it easy this year! I am nearly finished editing my last wedding of 2017, woohoo! and I have only two sessions to edit after that. Then I am all caught up! After this weekend, I hope to be able to focus on baking, Christmas prepping and family time - it will be such a relief!!

We are on the tail end of our fall color here, so pics this week include some super exciting nature photography (sarcasm) and my super exciting home life (more sarcasm). What have you been up to?

Happy Friday! The past week was a blur, spent mostly at my desk editing. The coming week will be much the same, including all weekend. But then things should slow down a bit and I cannot wait! I have been working 9-10 hour days sitting & editing 7 days a week to get galleries out and there isn't enough yoga or coffee in the universe to cure that, ha! (It's also the reason this post is late again - sorry!!) Chocolate helps. A little.

Anyway, enough of my boring existence, the few images I have to share are iPhone snaps from this week. At a recent session, I took a pic of the origami Christmas tree decorations at the botanical gardens. At another session, I accidentally happened upon my new favorite location to shoot. It looks a bit of a scraggly mess, but aside from the many sand spurs, it is a photographer's dream I tell ya.  Little Miss sang carols at church. (The indoor photos were terrible, as I was too far away, but you see her dressed up as she enters the church. She was super excited but we were late - also because of work, 😩 so she looks more worried than excited) . Lastly, I have enjoyed the glow of holiday lights while I toil away at my computer, so there is a photo or our tree.

I hope your week has been more fun & festive than my own. Please link up your posts from the week and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy December 1st! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. Well, we put the tree and indoor decorations up, but the outdoors still needs work. I have about 2% of my holiday shopping done, and zero baking and zero wrapping accomplished. Not much will happen this weekend either, as I have a 7 hour wedding to deliver, plus 5 galleries due and two sessions to shoot. Yikes. : /

This week's festivities included a belated birthday celebration for Dad, sibling shenanigans, cute cousins, holiday displays & advent, and an angel spotted in the clouds - all brought to you by iPhone. What have you been up to?
