Hey Friends! Happy Friday! I sincerely apologize for skipping out the past couple of weeks. I'm pretty sure that's a blogging sin. We lost our sweet Bella a couple of weeks ago, and it was really a tough time. It was the peak of wedding & portrait season - my busiest week of the whole year, actually. Plus I got sick shortly after she passed, but had to keep working, of course.  It was just a storm of stress, depression, illness, exhaustion and ick. It was all I could do to keep up with client work and tend to my family the best I could muster. It took me a while to catch back up and feel normal, and so blogging fell by the wayside. I am truly sorry.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you celebrate). My holiday weekend was mostly work, but we did enjoy a wonderful family meal at my sister and brother-in-law's house.

I also have a few shots to share from our attempt at family photos. I'm not thrilled with the outcome - why is it such a ridiculous struggle with one's own family?! But, at least I finally got some portraits of the kids. I used to think herding toddlers was tough, but coordinating teenage tempers and 'tudes, is not for the faint of heart I tell ya.

Thanks for stopping in! Link up your posts below and have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! The busy season madness finally took me down this week. I'm feeling rather overwhelmed at the moment. Sessions and wedding edits are taking over my life. True story. The kids are busy with activities for school, Girl Scouts, social gatherings, etc. etc, and Bella's care is becoming a 'round the clock job. I am tired. So tired. And I know I have a mountain to climb before I can rest. I'm behind in all sorts of ways, so I apologize for not getting this post up on time. Unfortunately, it is one of the many things I've not been able to keep up with lately.

Before I peel away from my desk to get the kids in bed, administer more meds to Bella, and then collapse on the couch, I figured I'd at least post a few shots I did take of my girlie this week. She and I have an hour and a half to kill while we wait for her sister at Drama class each week, so we played out in the falling leaves and took some photos. I also have pics from hubs birthday yesterday, but I haven't had time to load those yet, so maybe next week.

Anyway, I'm glad to had my camera with me the other day (since I was taking class photos for co-op). I love these shots of my carefree kiddo. Oh to be a kid again....

Crikey! How on earth did we slide into November already?? I love fall, but haven't had a chance to savor it as much as I'd like. 2018 will be over before we know it - and that just makes me feel old, haha. Too bad we can't turn the clocks back more than an hour this weekend.

Anyway, our week was full of festivities. The kids had Halloween parties at the far ends of town, and my mom threw her annual Halloween bash for my kids and their cousins. We all had a grand time. She really goes all out and makes it so delightful and memorable. I also had a wedding on Saturday, so I've been dragging through the better part of this week.

Betwixt it all we managed to get the pumpkins carved, and trick-or-treating with the neighbors was a fun excursion. Bella is hanging in, but taking lots of pain meds to get through the day.  I also managed to get a couple of kids portraits done, which was on my list remember? I still have 3 more kiddos to go, but at least this month wasn't a total fail. I have much to be thankful for, even if I am feeling old.
