Last week was fun, busy and a bit of a blur. Here's a peek at our week:
I took advantage of the flowering azaleas for a pretty photo op.
I pulled over on the way home from our Girl Scout meeting to shoot this barn.
We had a few chilly days, but spent plenty of time outside anyway.
I finally got Little Miss to wear her tutu for more than 30 seconds.
We had an awesome time at a park in Virginia Beach. The gardens were in bloom and the kids had a blast exploring. We met up with Sarah, the Naptime Momtog, and had a picnic by the playground. She is just as friendly and awesome in person as she is in the blogoshpere. I am so thankful we've become friends, and my kids adore her sweet boys! It was a great day!! The pic on the left is my oldest helping her oldest across the pond. Of course the boys preferred the cross the rocks, rather than take the bridge, lol.
I pulled off the road once again (the kids are getting used to this) for a photo op by this long golden grass. It was evening and we were on our way home from the library. I was hurried as it was dinner time, and Little Miss was OVER the car seat. And, it was still a little too bright out. I managed to over expose most of the pics (because I didn't bother to check my settings, duh) and I was too close to my model. I should have backed up to avoid all the limb chops, double duh. But, I will be trying this again soon. Next time I will do more than a drive by shooting and hopefully get some better shots. Think. Breathe. Then Shoot. I need to tattoo that on my forehead, lol. Still, this is my pic for "Joy" because shooting always brings me joy - even when it's frustrating.
We also had weekend soccer games. The kids played well and the weather was gorgeous.
What have you been up to? I'd love to hear. Thanks for stopping by! Make it a great week ;)
