Cherished Childhood Memories with Gymboree

It may sound cliche, but our children really do seem to grow up right before our eyes. I remember being a kid and feeling like the school year lasted for-ever! It seemed so long, like it would never end. When I would play with my older sister and her friends, I felt like I would never be big enough. I would never grow up! These days, I would give my right arm to slow the clock down. The pages of the calendar just seem to flip by and my children seem taller every time I turn around.  With 4 young kids, it seems that hardly a week goes by without reaching another milestone of some sort...graduating from potty training, a tooth lost, shoes learning to be tied, a first pimple, and the birthdays come so quickly!

That's why it is so important to me to record those every day moments in our lives. I am hardly ever without a camera, even if it's just my phone. I take pictures daily and I know I will cherish all of those memories for years to come.

Gymboree has launched a campaign to celebrate those cherished memories in our children's lives. They have put together this amazing video to share and encourage moms and dads everywhere to take a moment to reflect on their own precious life moments.

Friday Photo Journal - Week 39

This week was another crazy one. I had a bridal session on Wednesday and because of some September 11th bomb treats on local tunnels, I was stuck in the car for about 6 hours trying to drop the kids off with my mom and then make it to the other side of the water for a Bridal session with a lovely bride to be. That really threw a wrench in our homeschooling this week...and by Thursday we were all coming down with a cold. Not an ideal way to finish off week two of our new school year. 

So, this weekend I will be nursing a cold, editing three sessions, shooting two and spending all day Saturday at Busch Gardens with extended family. 

Should be fun, crazy and utterly exhausting! Wish me luck :)

P52- Week 36

Hi my friends! Whew, we are in to week two of schooling and life is busier than ever. I am up to my eyeballs in editing and have bridals and another family session this week. I am glad that we took September off of activities or I don't know how I'd keep up. I have been burning the midnight oil to get everything done and then when I climb into bed, exhausted, I can't sleep! I have never had much trouble sleeping, but I guess my brain just can't shut off after sitting in front of the computer all night.  Thank goodness for Starbucks!

Sharing a snap of my silly 6 year old today. I adore his sense of humor, and his contagious laugh.

Friday Photo Journal - 38

Happy Friday friends! I have managed to make it though (almost) this jam-packed short first week of school and hubs first week of work at his new job. It has been a bumpy road trying to navigate a new schedule and fit everything in. It is likely to only get busier as we have taken this month off of extra-curricular activities. Next month, with PE classes, Girl Scouts, drum lessons, etc., might throw me for a loop again. At least by then the kids should be settled into a full time school routine again. We normally don't take much time off in the summer, but this year we took August off.  It has not been easy to herd them back toward school, lol.
