Project 366 Rewind - Week 26

Monday, July 2, 2012

Good day friends! Happy Monday, happy July, and holy cow how is summer slipping by so quickly? The past two months have been a bit of a blur, as I have been crazy busy preparing to shoot the wedding I photographed on Saturday, with the uber-awesome Sarah Halstead. I have been working, shooting, prepping and shopping like a mad woman to prepare, but I'm happy to report that all went well. Despite the 110+ heat index, we managed some beautiful shots. It was a little stressful at times, but mostly fun and what I gained in experience was totally worth all the sweat and butterflies. Now, here's my recap from last week's activities:

While we've been to the beach a couple of times this summer, we still haven't had a chance to relax or swim. But seeing the water and feeling the sand beneath my feet is always rejuvenating.

We headed out to run some errands in Daddy's new car. It's really a used car, but new to us and so much fun. It's a Land Rover Discovery 2 and the kids love it. Baby girl asks for a ride everyday, and the biggin's fight over who's turn it is to ride in the jump seats.

I took some more selfies for the Paper Heart Camera profile page. Ugh! I hate selfies!! (of me, not other  people ;) But I'm trying. (Geez do I look glassy-eyed and tired from staying up way too late every night for wedding prep?!)

I took a few shots after we worked in the garden some more.

We had some super hot days last week, but the kids still found time to ride bikes and play.
Mostly in the evening hours.

Saturday was wedding day. I met Sarah at Starbucks and we headed to the beachfront at 9:30. The ceremony was at 10:30. This couple and their family were lots of fun. It was a very touching day. Lots of hugs and tears of happiness.  I was honored to be there to document such a special occasion.

Sunday we just relaxed, did a few errands and did our best to stay cool in the 100+ temps.
Sipping on a cold Icee helps!

I struggle with self-portraits too. I always have a desire to really airbrush them LOL! The last one is perfect! Her eyelashes really pop! Great clarity.

I don't do selfies either... ever! Yours looks great, by the way :)

You have a great series of images here. I love the ones of your beautiful children, and that single flower is gorgeous!
