It's no secret that I love photography. And I love all types of photography, though I do tend to focus mainly on portraits. But, I truly adore lifestyle photography. I had such a wonderful time last weekend at a lifestyle session for a client. Her children were simply adorable, and so very sweet and welcoming. Her home was beautiful too. I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop or a sweeter family to photograph. What a blessing to meet so many wonderful families through my work!

I am still in the process of editing their gallery, but I thought I'd share a peek of the cuteness I am enjoying as I edit. :)

Onto Wordless Wednesday... last night as I was busy editing a client session, I heard a some rummaging and then a little peep and giggle from Little Miss. When I turned around, I found she had been helping herself to my photography props and was all decked out asking for a "poto-shoot." I captured a few quick pics on our deck just before the sun went down. Gotta love her sense of style!

Happy Monday friends! I am up to my eyeballs in editing this week and haven't picked up my camera for anything other than client sessions, so I have no family photos to share.

Today I am sharing a peek of what I'm working on. This little cutie was so sweet.

Friday Photo Journal - Week 26

Hello sweet friends! I have missed you!! I have been so crazy busy this week that it was hard to squeak out enough images for a collage. I have taken no photos of my own family with my DSLR and only a few quick snaps on my phone, which I haven't even had time to edit. So, this week I'm afraid all I have to share is a smattering of poorly edited quick lifestyle pics.

I feel like I am going a hundred miles an hour all day everyday, and I miss having time to relax and have fun with my kids. But, I am beyond grateful for all the work, especially when we needed it most. I had 4 shoots this week! That's a record for me, so far. And I'm up to my eyeballs in editing. But busy is good, as long as I can stay sane!

Here's a peek at our week. The pool last Sunday was a nice reprieve for a few hours.

Little Things Thursday - Creative Captures

I love it when a plan comes together. Before a family shoot last week, I had a quick spark of inspiration for a shot at the beach. One $4 foam sword and a few hours later it all came together. I'm not sure this shot was on mom's agenda for the session, but I'm glad it was on mine. I love it. And I was darn lucky to sneak it in before we were told we weren't allowed on the rock jetty!
