P52- Week 44

Monday, November 4, 2013

Last week was fun and busy as usual. Halloween was terrific. I love watching the kids run from house to house in anticipation and excitement. We ended up having great weather for it too. I shared a few costume shots on Friday, but most of them I took with my D610 and I am unable to process the files until there is a Lightroom update that includes the new camera profile. I hope it's soon!

I only have the 610 because I had purchased the 600 as a back up camera a couple of months ago after selling my 5000. I was noticing the infamous oil spots on the sensor. So, when I realized I was within the return window (barely) when the 610 came out, I returned the 600 and preordered the 610. I love it, but hate that I can't process the RAWs. Fingers crossed that an update comes quickly! I have another wedding to shoot this weekend.

What did you do last week?

Oh my goodness - camera issues. So happy you were able to upgrade within the window. Can't wait to see what you captured- did they say it was coming soon?

I have a couple of friends who own the D600 and they have had so much trouble with the oil on the sensor (Nikon says it's a common issue with that model). It seems wrong to be selling a camera with those problems and passing them off as "normal". I'm glad you were able to upgrade to the D610 and return the other!
I tell my friends they need to join the Canon army! ;)
This image is so lovely!
