Aloha Friday

Friday, December 10, 2010

Aloha! Thanks for coming by today. I'll be up to my elbows in flour this weekend doing my holiday baking. I love cookies and Christmas is the perfect excuse to make a ton of them ;) Unfortunately, they seem to disappear as quickly as I bake them. I like to have several kinds to share with neighbors and friends. How about you? Do you do much holiday baking?

My question this week: Do you give gifts to those in the community that you see regularly? ie the mailman, neighbors, church friends, activities leaders(coaches/instructors) etc?

Be sure to stop by An Island Life for more Aloha Friday fun. Check out my current giveaways too! Links are at the top left of this page :)

Depends. I always keep a stash of little things handy incase someone pops by, also.

We might someday but this year we are keeping things ultra simple - just our kids, each other and our parents - plus Christmas cards.

I have the worst postman ever so, since he has already lost a few bills and a package of mine, I think if he gets coal he is lucky...some spirit- I know.

Have a great Friday!

I think my mail carrier must be related to Harriet's - ours is horrendous, so she definitely never gets anything.

I do make a special gift basket for Princess Nagger's bus driver and her teacher - lots of homemade goodies including homemade wine! :)

No, i truly don't have the money to. Though this year i got one for my friend, she's had a hard few weeks and if anything its more of a friendship gift than christmas gift

No. If I knew them, or speak to them, then I would, but I pretty much never see them or get to speak with them. So it all depends.

Aloha!

My mail lady is horrible! She's lazy, has hit the neighbors dogs, cursed at people and loses packages all the the time. My gift to her will not be reporting her this month!

Nope. Well, my mail carrier is great, but I don't talk to him :)

We usually bake or give tamales to our neighbors. They usually really appreciate the tamales. We pick up a little something for our mailman simply because he is so awesome! I just asked my daughter today about what she thinks we should get him. She thinks we should get him a shiny new car. I wish!
