Happy Friday all! This week was especially crazy with hubs out of town and me wrangling work, kids and schooling solo. Fortunately he's back now, but I have a super busy work weekend ahead, and Little Miss came down with a high fever and body aches last night. Thank goodness for coffee and Aleve. They will be staples of my diet for the next few days.

I am excited that fall is here and the leaves are starting to change. It's in the mid-80s still, so it doesn't quite feel like fall, but a few signs of its debut are beginning to appear.

Happy Friday friends! I hope you've had a great week. Our week was productive, but I'll be honest, I am utterly exhausted. Back to school, back to kids' activities, busy portrait season, adulting...all of it is a bit overwhelming at the moment.

And in all day-to-day madness, I really haven't taken any personal pics. When I think about it, it has actually been months, many months, since I have spent any time on anything creative just for fun. I shoot all the time for clients, but any creative exploration has fallen by the wayside. I miss that freedom.

Anyway, my eyes are crossing and my kids are late for bed, again, so I'm posting the few iPhone pics I have to share and hopping off for the night. Here's hoping next week is a bit less hectic.

Happy weekend all! This week went by so quickly with the holiday, back to school, client sessions... the days are a blur and I'm totally exhausted. I have accomplished quite a bit, but looking at the mountain ahead, it seems like not enough. 

We did have some family fun last weekend. Hubs and I took the kids out for dinner Friday (totally casual sandwich shop, but super yummy). It was our anniversary (16 years!). I was supposed to work, so we didn't have plans for a date night. I ended up not having to work after all, so we headed out for a quick bite and enjoyed some live music.  We also spent some time pool-side over the weekend, and I hit the beach for a couple of client sessions. Happy holiday weekend friends! Looks like we'll be having rain and wind for much of the weekend, but I am enjoying the cooler temps. We're heading back to school Tuesday, so I have plenty of work to keep me busy indoors anyway.

This week was mostly nose to the grindstone with work. We did have another family birthday celebration last weekend. And I'm also sharing some pics from the newborn session I had with my new nephew and his family, even though they were taken a few weeks ago.

 Updated to add: We had two big birthdays at our house this week and lots of cake! Hard to believe my kiddos are growing up so fast. : /

Happy Friday friends! I'm running a little behind today, my apologies! I'm up to my eyeballs in work and birthday preparations for Little Miss. I spent most of the week shooting at the beach and editing, editing, editing. I know much of the country has gone back to school already, but we're still in summer mode here. Most days I edit, prepare contracts, tackle admin stuff (cook, clean, launder, child rear, dog wrangle, etc. etc.) and then plant my toes in the sand for a beach session.

I don't have much in the way of personal pics this week, as we didn't do anything noteworthy. I am pretty fortunate to witness so many summer sunsets though. Next week shall be more fruitful.  I'll have birthday pics and baby pics of my new nephew. :)
