It's Thursday - Show Off Your Shot

Today I've decided to link up with the Show Off Your Shot meme hosted by Rachel over at And Then She Snapped (I just LOVE the name of her blog!). And she's a great photog and busy mommy. Stop by and check out her blog.

These shots I took yesterday evening during soccer practice. It was partly cloudy yesterday and all day there were some crazy poofs and swirls going on in the sky. Sunny and bright in some spots, dark and ominous in others. Too cool, but most of my day is spent in suburbia with too many obstacles for a good sky shot. Thankfully the soccer fields are wide open and I snapped these before dark.

It was sunny to the left of the shot and very dark to the right. That darkness in the top right is a big ole' cloud swooping in. I liked the contrast.

but the kids make it hard to do so for long:

Liquid - we smoked a chicken Saturday in hub's new smoker and enjoyed it with a little Pinot. Yum!
