Friday Photo Journal - April 8, 2016

 Happy Friday friends! We've had a busy week of birthday festivities and crazy weather. I shot several  spring themed sessions that were quite chilly. The beautiful blooms make it worthwhile though. This week, my post includes a smattering of personal work, some puppy antics and a conglobulation of random iPhone pics. Yes, I just made up that word. I rather like it though, so I'm sticking with it. ;)

I don't have many birthday photos to post because the big guy is on the modest side and doesn't like me posting images of him online. He turned 14! Gah!! I can hardly believe it when I say it. 14. Like sand through an hour glass. 

 I was feeling less than inspired this week, so I didn't get much accomplished. But, I did manage to document a few moments from our days. Here are my random photos for the week:

Another week down and it is officially looking like spring around here. Our dogwood and azaleas are in boom and so are the cherry blossoms! I shot two mini sessions at a park full of cherry trees this week. It was gorgeous! I just love this time of year! How about you? What's blooming in your neck of the woods?

Friday Photo Journal, March 25, 2016

Hello friends and happy Friday to you! This week was a hectic one. Work is ramping back up now that the weather is warming. I am doing my best to spend time with the kiddos while I have it. We've been enjoying local parks and time outdoors, and prepping for Easter and upcoming birthdays.  I know when portrait and wedding season kicks in, I won't have time to do it all. 

I shot school portraits this week for a local homeschool co-op. I did this last fall too. Several of the  photos below are from a practice session at home in preparation for the portrait days. Fortunately, I had a willing model to help me test my set up. :)  I was able to take each of my oldest kiddos as my assistants on the shoots. It was fun having them along at work. I'm not sure they enjoyed it as much as I did, but they were paid in Starbucks for their efforts and all was right with the world.

Hey, hey it's Friday! How has your week been? The highlight of ours was babysitting my niece - who we all love to pieces. We got to spend an afternoon visiting with her and it was such a treat! It was a pretty nice day, so we headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine and warmth. Of course, I had to bring my camera to document it all.

Hey, hey it's Friday! I hope it has been a great week for you. We have been enjoying some spring-like weather over the past few days and it's been heavenly! This week we have been busy with day to day chores, work, schooling, tax prep, etc., but managed a couple of trips to the park and some outdoor play time in the warm weather.  I'm looking forward to this weekend and hoping the weather holds so we can enjoy a little backyard bbq!

I only have a few random photos to share this week. Mostly iPhone and a couple I took just chasing the kiddos around the yard. What have you been up to?

Friday Photo Journal - March 4, 2016

Happy Friday all! I hope you have had a fantastic week. We've had some crazy weather - but that's not unusual here. Last week tornado warnings, this week warm sunny days, tomorrow snow and rain...you just never know around here. We took full advantage of the warm days though and made a trek out to the beach. Oh, it was glorious! What a treat! I have a ton of photos from that day so I apologize for the overshare, but I hope these brighten your day! There's nothing better than sunshine and shore breezes in my book.
