Hi friends! Happy Friday and welcome to October. :)  I hope you have all had a great week! I apologize for the late posting. I'm a bit under the weather today. Looks like I'll have to drag myself through a busy weekend. Though the temps are still in the 70s, fall is starting to make it's way into the foliage here. I love the rusty reds and can't wait for the vibrant orange and yellows! What's it like in your neck of the woods?

I only have a couple of snaps to share this week. Can't wait to see what you've been up to!

Friday Photo Journal - September 26, 2014

Whew, Friday again? I used to live for the weekends. Now Fridays are like Sundays to me. It's rather strange, the change. Anyway, this week was fun. The fall weather finally made an appearance toward the end of the week,  and we're just getting tinges of color in the leaves. The mosquitos are horrendous though, oy! 

I didn't take many personal photos this week, just a few of Little Miss playing outside during our Girl Scout meeting. I have edits galore in my cue and another wedding this Saturday. It'll be a busy weekend - but really all the days just blur together at this point.

Friday Photo Journal - September 19, 2014

This week brought some excitement our way -thankfully, rather than floods, it came in the form of baby animals, surprise proposals and a hidden jackpot.

On Tuesday the kids were playing in the front yard and a young squirrel kept following them and chirping. The hubs and I went out to see, and sure enough, he kept coming toward us and trying to climb on us. I'd never seen this behavior before! We tried to return him to the tree he came from and kept an eye on him from inside. When the behavior continued the next day, we figured he had been abandoned or lost, and we contacted a local wildlife rescue organization. The women we spoke to actually lives in our neighborhood and was very friendly with the kids. Apparently there were many injured and abandoned animals from last week's storm. :( 

The kids loved the experience and I thought it was pretty cool too. It was a relief to know that "Fuzzy" would be well cared for and eventually released. 

My youngest son, quite the opportunist, managed to scrounge up $24 in change from around the house and felt like he hit the jackpot at the CoinStar machine. :)  Little Miss captured a caterpillar, also named "Fuzzy." And I had the opportunity to photograph a surprise marriage proposal at the beach, right next to King Neptune. All in all, not a bad week.

Hey everyone, happy Friday! I'm so sorry for the late posting of FPJ this week. I'm in the middle of a 4 wedding month, finishing up editing the portrait madness from August and back to homeschooling full time. There just aren't enough hours in the day! Thank you for your patience and for your continued visits.
