Friday Photo Journal - August 22, 2014

Happy Friday my friends! It has been a fun week around here. 

Mawmaw came to visit and help us celebrate the birthdays of my two youngest. 

Little Miss jumped off the diving board by herself for the first time. 

She also got a big girl bike for her birthday. She took off down the road and never looked back.  

I shot a couple of sessions at the beach, and also a wedding with my sweet friend, Sarah of Sarah Halstead Photography. We always have fun when we work together! 

Little Man got an awesome slip 'n slide from his grandparents and the kids have been flopping and sliding daily since. I finally managed to take a few photos of all the fun with my phone. Yay! :)

This weekend brings more birthday festivities, and more beach sessions.

Lately Through My Lens

It has been a while, so I thought I'd share a peek at what I have been up to with work. Here are a few of the sessions I have recently finished. I've been to the beach many times this summer, but only twice to relax.  I love shooting on the beach, but don't love the wear on my gear. Both of my cameras are in need of a good cleaning again after all that summer shooting. 

Though I'm not wishing for summer's end, the fall will bring a nice change of scenery. 

Winter though?...I could skip straight to spring.

Wordless Wednesday

It's a big week in our family - we have 3 birthdays to celebrate! My two youngest and my little sister are all a year older this week. I'll be eating lots of cake, and wallowing in memories. 

I can hardly believe that my "baby" is turning 4. Four?! And Little Man will be 7. The time goes by so quickly. I wish it would slow down just a bit. I am having a hard time keeping up. I suppose all I can do is savor the little moments each day and record as many as I can to reflect upon later. 

So many big new milestones to look forward too, 

and so many sweet baby days have slipped away forever. 

Happy Friday all! Each week around here seems to get crazier than the last. As usual, I spent most of it working, so I don't have many pics to share yet again...I feel like broken record! This is a quick snap I took as I was leaving my session Thursday evening. This is a view of the Chesapeake Bay and that's the Bay Bridge Tunnel in the distance. The sunsets this week were gorgeous!

Friday Photo Journal - August 8, 2014

Hard to believe we're into August already! I know many of you have kiddos back in school too. Where does the time go?! Once 4th of July hits, summer just seems to slip away. I noticed the leaves are starting to turn a little too. I'm not ready for Fall! I do love Fall, but I'd like to hold on to summer a bit longer. And I could seriously use a vacation, ha ha!

No chance of that, however. This weekend brings a senior session, a family session, a wedding consultation, two regular galleries due and a wedding gallery to get out the door as well. I also had to take my phone in for repair this week, so I'm using a loner phone (thank you Apple!). It has less storage then my regular iPhone and is struggling to keep up with all the junk I regularly store - and the kids' umpteen apps! So, whenever I try to take a photo it tells me I have no room.

Alas, this week I've bombed out on the personal photos once again. I'm sure you all have some beauties to share though! Please post your links and share.

Wordless Wednesday

I got to spend some time with my baby niece and her awesome family last week. It was such a special  treat! Of course, I had my camera in tow.  Here are some of the shots I took.

I am so proud of her parents who are doing an amazing job. :)
