Friday's Favorite Photo of the Week

Another busy week down, and holy cow, I can't believe I'm sending off Christmas wish lists already! I do wish time would slow down just a little. But hey, at least we get an extra hour this weekend right? Maybe that will help me catch up on all I need to do ;)

My favorite pic of the week was from our hike last weekend. It was a bit windy, but I was able to catch some reflections on the water and I just love the mirror effect.

This or That Thursday

 When the kids are burning off energy at our homeschool PE class, I generally take my camera on a walk around town and snap pics of anything interesting I come across. It's a nice change of pace to be able to shoot without feeling quite so rushed. Having one child with me versus four, allows for a little more flexibility. While I don't always capture fantastic shots, I chalk it up to practice and honing my eye. I read somewhere that you have to take about 10,000 shots to "get them out of the way" and really start to improve your craft.  Here are a few of my 10,000 frames ;)

Wordless Wednesday

Here they are...the obligatory Halloween pics!  The rain held off, and we bagged a ton of loot. There was excitement, giggles, lots of running (frantic for the next score!) and then the inevitable sugar-induced coma.

All in all it was a great night.

Photos From Our Hike

I mentioned earlier this week that we went on a 5 mile hike last Sunday. My sister and her beau went along with us. We hadn't planned on hiking the full trail with the kids in tow, but we just kept walking...and walking... It was chilly, but a beautiful, sunny day. Despite growly bellies and tired legs, we all had a really great time. It was definitely a memorable family day!

Today's prompt for the Simplicity photo challenge is "bloopers."  These are shots I captured while taking pics of the kids playing during their brother's soccer practice. My 4 year old is always making me laugh with his silly faces ;) He's such a funny character.
