Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Happy Sunday to all! I hope you have enjoyed a relaxing weekend. We spent time at the soccer fields and in the yard and enjoyed our first chilly Autumn days.  Hooray for Pumpkin Spice Lattes ;)  Hopefully the cooler temps will chase all those vicious mosquitoes away!

Simple Things Sunday #2

Simple Things Sunday is all about sharing simple joys or an image of something that made you smile this week. I love family walks through the neighborhood in the evening. We often happen upon a simple treasure, like a Heron on the river stalking his dinner, or a family of rabbits munching away. 

This week I captured this sunset by the water. 

It is the simple things of beauty that feed the soul ;)

Bokeh Saturday

Each morning I sip my coffee and watch the birds out at our feeder in the backyard. We often have visits from Cardinals, Wrens, and Carolina Chickadees. Occasionally we'll see a Blue Jay or Golden Finch. I have tried to capture each of them, but usually come up short. Our great dane and my 4 munchkins generally scare them off before I can pull off a decent shot. Chickadees are a favorite of my oldest son. If you have visited here before, you may remember that I blogged about the family he befriended last spring.
