iPhone Photo Friday

To say life has been hectic around here would be the understatement of the century. Between birthdays, hurricanes, power outages, gearing up for homeschooling 3 this year, my anniversary (10 years woo hoo!), the beginning of the soccer season and random appointments, I just have been too overwhelmed to blog about it all.

Keeping a family of 6 going is no small feat, and many days I end up feeling defeated. The baby (now 1 and learning to walk) is teething again...those big molars...ouch! Little big boy, now 4, is starting his first season playing soccer and guess who's the team mom?! The bigger boy is working hard to catch up in reading, though most days he'd rather do anything else, and also playing soccer. And miss sassy-pants, 6, is going to be a Brownie this year so I'll be volunteering there as well. We're also participating in a homeschool PE class and some sort of art classes I have yet to sign up for.

I have had little to no time to focus on my photography classes, or to learn my way around Lightroom (my awesome anniversary gift from my thoughtful and ever-supportive hubbie). But, before I go into a long drawn out pity party (too late, I know), I'd better just pop up some recent photos of our daily life. Here's to iPhone Photo Friday!! :)

Pic of my favorite tree in the backyard. Fortunately, it was not damaged by Irene.
Baby girl cooling herself by the fan, compliments of generator power. (We finally got our power back Wed night after 5 days of cold showers!)

I feel for you and your busy life. I remember well the hectic schedule of raising our dear children, but before you know it they will grow up and leave the nest. Love the pictures and enjoyed your blog.
