Happy weekend all! I feel like I've been road tripping all week. I had sessions in Sandbridge, then Williamsburg, then Virginia Beach, then Williamsburg and now back to Sandbridge. Plus, running back and forth to co-op several times a week, means I spend half the week in the car. Hubs was in Europe for work all week, so I was parenting solo too. Needless to say, I'm spent. Next week slows down a little, but then I have a wedding weekend.

My photos for this week are from a jaunt up to Colonial Williamsburg for a family session. I love Williamsburg in the fall! The colors haven't quite turned, but the temps are cooling down a little. And it's just so lovely there.

Friday Photo Journal, November 9, 2018

Happy Friday! The busy season madness finally took me down this week. I'm feeling rather overwhelmed at the moment. Sessions and wedding edits are taking over my life. True story. The kids are busy with activities for school, Girl Scouts, social gatherings, etc. etc, and Bella's care is becoming a 'round the clock job. I am tired. So tired. And I know I have a mountain to climb before I can rest. I'm behind in all sorts of ways, so I apologize for not getting this post up on time. Unfortunately, it is one of the many things I've not been able to keep up with lately.

Before I peel away from my desk to get the kids in bed, administer more meds to Bella, and then collapse on the couch, I figured I'd at least post a few shots I did take of my girlie this week. She and I have an hour and a half to kill while we wait for her sister at Drama class each week, so we played out in the falling leaves and took some photos. I also have pics from hubs birthday yesterday, but I haven't had time to load those yet, so maybe next week.

Anyway, I'm glad to had my camera with me the other day (since I was taking class photos for co-op). I love these shots of my carefree kiddo. Oh to be a kid again....

Welcome friends,

Another week down and Friday again already?! I knew the time between Labor Day and Halloween would fly by. We are stocked with candy and making the last mad dash for costumes, as usual. How about you? 

This week's photos are all of our girl Bella. For the past few weeks I have been struggling to come to terms with the fact that she is very sick. I knew something wasn't right, and I took her to the vet a couple of weeks ago, which confirmed my fears. She has osteosarcoma. She was born in 2008, and has been with us since she was just a couple of months old. She is family. We lost a Dane to the same cancer before we had Bella, and it absolutely broke my heart in pieces. I know Bella has lived a good life. She has been well loved and has enjoyed many healthy years for a Dane. Many more than our Max did - he was only 6. I am so grateful for all of the time we have enjoyed with her. But I am dreading what lies ahead.

I took some time this week to take a few portraits of her, while she still feels well enough to enjoy her favorite pass time - sunning herself in the back yard. She loves to just lie out in the yard, and listen to the birds. And occasionally, bark at the wind, just so it knows who's boss.

Happy Friday friends! Sorry for getting this post up late today. This week was a busy one and I had a late session at the beach last night. On my way home I stopped to take a few pics of these colorful canoes. I have photographed them before, but they just look so cool all lined up in a rainbow. I couldn't help myself. :)

The rest of the week was spent editing tons, carting children to and fro, enjoying some family time while my mother-in-law is in town, and pushing toward the end of the school year. How was your week?

Hey friends! How was your week? Aside from a Girl Scout meeting, basketball practice and a trip to the vet, we've been kicking around at home mostly. It has been SO nice to have a break from my hectic work schedule. I've been able to focus more on my family. Even though they drive me nuts sometimes, my happiest days are juggling kids and dogs and married life.

I spent a bit more time playing around with freelensing and different creative techniques again this week. Things got a little weirder, ha ha. These are a far cry from the "pretty" pics I normally create for clients, but it feels great to explore a little freedom and weirdness.  I'm sure these are not everyone's cup of tea (had a few strange looks from the hubster), but they are for me, so no one else needs to like them. ;)

Friday Photo Journal - June 30, 2017

Happy Friday! Where did June go?? It's been a busy month and it flew by in a blink. July will be even busier for us with weddings, a new baby on the way, birthdays, travel...lots to look forward to, but I get tired just thinking about it, ha ha. That's what getting old will do for ya.

This week's photos include lots of outdoor play. The weather has been warm, but mild with low humidity. Pretty perfect actually! The mosquitos, however, have been vicious. It's almost like an Alfred Hitchcock movie when you step outside. I need to move to the beach. The wind off the water usually keeps them away there. Otherwise, I get eaten alive no matter how much repellent I douse myself with.

 Looking forward to a holiday weekend and some fireworks with the kiddos!

Happy weekend all! We are still schooling, so this week was focused on that and not much else. I did shoot a small wedding last weekend, and also some maternity pics for my little sister. Yay! We did a sunset beach session and the weather was perfect. I'm so excited to meet my new nephew soon! I can't wait to get some baby snuggles. :) Also, these peeps are pretty fabulous and my niece is the sweetest. I'm so lucky to have them nearby.
