Happy Friday friends! I hope you've had a great week. We are finally on the tail end of this icky virus everyone has had. We really didn't venture out much over the past week, other than to the doctor and runs to the pharmacy. But, this weekend we are looking forward to a visit from my Mother-in-Law, and my sister and niece! And, my older daughter is performing in a play with her drama group. It will be her first stage appearance, so that's pretty exciting!

I didn't take any pictures of all the ailing bodies around here this week, so I have just a few iPhone shots of a pretty blue sky, our resident sock-eater back to normal after surgery, and some little notes my daughter leaves me. I took a pic so I'd remember them - especially on days when teenage mood swings take over. ;)  How was your week?

Hey friends! Happy Friday to you! I am running behind this week (as usual, but worse, ha ha) and I will have to come back tomorrow with some pics. I wanted to get the linky up though, so here is my pitiful post.

We have 7 birthdays in our family between July and August, plus they are two of the busiest months of sessions for me. We've had all that going on, plus car repairs, homeschool planning, etc., etc. So there is it. My juggling arms are tired and I'm dropping balls. Anyway, I will be back in the morning with a few photos. Sorry for the blank space in the mean time. I hope your madness is better managed than mine!

Update: I finally uploaded some iPhone pics from the week. Hubs and I had plans to go on the tall ship sunset cruise in Norfolk last weekend. Unfortunately, our excursion was rained out. So, we headed to the Waterside Marketplace for dinner instead. I snapped a few pics of the ferris wheel while we were downtown. Little Miss has been dying to go for a ride on it since it arrived several months ago. Her birthday is coming up, so we plan to surprise her with tickets. In other news, our oldest is now behind the wheel. Yikes! How was your week?

Hey friends, happy Friday! This week we've seen more sick ickies passed around the family - fortunately not the flu, but a nasty cold for sure. Currently hubs is down for the count. : / 

We have also had some lovely warm days, in the 60's and low 70's, so we've enjoyed some outdoor time when we were able. We even took the kids to the beach last Sunday to enjoy the open space and warm breezes. It was overcast, and a short trip, but a treat to be by the shore nonetheless. We happened upon a beach with lots of perfectly shaped skipping stones. A fun little competition ensued. I remember my dad teaching me how to skip stones across Lake Michigan, so I love that we made this memory with our kiddos.

Hey there! Happy almost weekend. We've finally had a cool down this week and the leaves are turning. I'm excited that fall is finally here! I have had several weddings this month, so I haven't been out to shoot much otherwise, but I am looking forward to some fall sessions. I love this time of year!

Little Miss got roller skates for Christmas last year. She's finally getting the hang of it. 

I did go out with my girls one chilly evening for a few photos, but that didn't go so well, ha ha. This is what usually happens when I try to photograph my kids these days, sigh. (And don't even ask me what they are wearing.) It was so much easier when they were toddlers.

Yay, Friday! We've been enjoying the warmer weather this week. Some of the flowers are even starting to pop and it feels a bit like spring. Rumor has it though, that we may be in for snow on Sunday. Wah wah wah....

Fortunately, we didn't have any trips to the ER this week. #winning It was a pretty quiet week for us. Just the usual stuff. What's new on your end?

Happy Friday all! This week was a bit more relaxing around here - thankfully. I am finally over the huge deluge of work and have buttoned up all of the sessions I have shot. Only one wedding remains to edit - yay! I do have sessions scheduled next week, but I am officially caught up and SO relieved.

We baked cookies twice this week and worked on some gifts the kids could make for family and friends. I didn't shoot much this week, but did bring my camera out to play with the Christmas lights for a few minutes while Little Miss painted her birdhouse. I'm looking forward to a weekend off - yay! The first in months! More family projects, and holiday festivities to come. :)

Things are ramping with work and I have a bunch of "stuff" to get done that has not been checked off of my long "to do" list. So, this week's quick peek includes several random images. Who am I kidding? Isn't that every week??

I actually shot quite a bit this week. I practiced freelensing and shot some lifestyle stuff for a workshop I'm taking. (I was super lucky to win a seat in Documenting Your Journey with the amazing Meghan Nesom!!) Plus, I had to take advantage of the blooms while they're here! So, random, but fun. Here goes:

Hey, hey it's Friday! How has your week been? The highlight of ours was babysitting my niece - who we all love to pieces. We got to spend an afternoon visiting with her and it was such a treat! It was a pretty nice day, so we headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine and warmth. Of course, I had to bring my camera to document it all.

This week kind of threw me for a loop. Lots going on and all I want to do is hibernate. We have been busy with basketball, cheerleading, Girl Scout cookie peddling and school, among other things. Oh yes, and snow! We didn't get as much as most that were hit by the storm but we got some wild weather and enough for the kids to play in. How about you?

Hey, it's Friday! This week I've got a mishmash of randomness thrown together. But hey, we are screaming through holiday portrait season and right on toward Thanksgiving and Christmas and I am just in over my head, I tell ya. The past week brought the usual madness and Daddy's birthday. The weather has been warm and lovely (mostly), so we have enjoyed some time outdoors. I am ready for the mosquitos to vacate but, I don't mind a bit if the warm sunny afternoons decide to stick around.

Friday Photo Journal - October 9, 2015

Hey, it's Friday again! I'm feeling a bit like burnt toast after this week's mayhem, and it's really just begun. I just completed a wedding gallery from a huge wedding and have another due tomorrow. I'm also shooting a wedding in the Outer Banks this weekend. So, I'll be wearing out my Keurig for the next couple of days. 

The storm last weekend brought lots of rain, a bit of flooding and some wind. But thankfully, nothing major in terms of damage. Sadly, we have only one lone surviving caterpillar, though. I sheltered them during the storm, and they made it through ok, but I think the colder nights have taken a toll on them. Most have disappeared and I found two that were dead. 

So, my luck with caterpillar rearing remains unchanged. :/
