Yikes! I can't believe I missed the entire month of October. Between work and co-op activities, the kids' volunteering jobs, various appointments, etc. I have been running all over the place. We've only had my car for about 5 months and I've put over 9,000 miles on it, if that tells you anything - and no road trips either - just the weekly shuffle!

So I have photos to share from a Halloween shoot I did with my girls (just for kicks), and from our Halloween/fall festivities. We attended a super fun Halloween costume party, and the kids had a couple of other parties as well. Plus, the usual trick-or-treating. I'm sorry I've fallen so behind, but I'll keep trying to keep up.

Happy weekend all! I feel like I've been road tripping all week. I had sessions in Sandbridge, then Williamsburg, then Virginia Beach, then Williamsburg and now back to Sandbridge. Plus, running back and forth to co-op several times a week, means I spend half the week in the car. Hubs was in Europe for work all week, so I was parenting solo too. Needless to say, I'm spent. Next week slows down a little, but then I have a wedding weekend.

My photos for this week are from a jaunt up to Colonial Williamsburg for a family session. I love Williamsburg in the fall! The colors haven't quite turned, but the temps are cooling down a little. And it's just so lovely there.

Hey friends, happy weekend! We survived the first week back to school and Hurricane Dorian. Frankly, neither was all that difficult, so thank goodness for that. I don't have many pics to share this week - because it was a week of busy - just a couple of stormy sky shots.

Next week is our official first full week of school for us, and the first week of co-op, so we'll see how we fare after that full blast. How are things in your neck of the woods?

Happy weekend all! Just popping in for a quick post. I have a session to get to, family birthday celebrations this weekend and our 18th anniversary (am I that old?!), so I just have time to throw up a few pics from this week. We had our end of the summer pool party with our homeschool co-op, and we took the kiddos to the water park last weekend. Tons of wet and wild fun! We are back to hitting the books on Tuesday - so a busy week ahead!
How was your final week of August?

Happy weekend friends! Here I am for Friday Photo Journal, on Saturday, ha ha. Oh me, I just can't seem to get it together. But, if you are still coming around I suppose you are used to it by now. This week was packed full with birthday celebrations, sessions, kids' activities, and our back to co-op meet and greet. We don't start back to school for another couple of weeks, but yikes it is creeping up quickly!

Here are my shots from the week, including our August birthday festivities, and a trip to a new-to-us macaroon shop in downtown Norfolk - yum! How was your week?

Happy weekend friends! I know I'm behind, as usual, but I'm feeling optimistic. I finished a wedding gallery yesterday - whoop! (always a chore) and have shot 7 sessions, a 9 hour wedding with travel, and an elopement this month already. Plus, I've delivered 5 session galleries, edited/posted sneak peeks, blogged, promoted, met with clients, birthday planned and shopped, chauffeured, cleaned, reorganized, started a new biking regimen, and adulted my way through a dead fridge/new fridge & AC repair in the past two weeks as well.

So, I'm finally getting around to posting here, yay! While I am behind, (I know, I know) I do have lots of photos to share including my first film scans, and pics from my daughter's drama camp musical, which was a full time whirlwind week of major rehearsals, costume shopping, and performances all on its own. (They cast, learned, staged and produced an entire one hour musical in one week, and it was fabulous!) Without further ado, here are my images to share:

First film shots on Portra 400 - so in love with the color!

And just like that, it's August. Back to school sales and posts are popping up and here I sit, wondering where our summers go. July was a whirlwind, as usual. August is setting up to be quite similar. I have a wedding and an elopement, plus 13 sessions scheduled, 3 family birthdays, one kid at day camp, two kids heading out of town for a bit, and another one to entertain while the oldest 3 are busy. Plus, back to school planning. I plan to do my best to squeeze in some pool days, barbecues, ice cream outings, and whatever else I can muster to eek out every last bit of summer! What's on your agenda this  month?

Pics from this week are iPhone snaps of our recent beach and park days. I did finally send my first rolls of film out, but haven't gotten scans back yet. Hopefully next week!

Happy weekend friends! Summer is passing by in a blink. July is always hectic with the 4th, lots of family birthdays, and tons of sessions for work. Even though we have packed a lot into the past few weeks, it's still hard to believe it's almost August already, and "Back to School" messages are popping up everywhere!

I know I missed last week - so sorry! My birthday weekend was a whirlwind.  I have pics from our festivities, plus photos from this week's happenings. Hubs treated the family to dinner out on my birthday weekend, and I chose a restaurant we have never tried. Smithfield is a small town only about 30 minutes or so from us, and we headed there for a tasty dinner at Taste of Smithfield. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent! Afterwards, we explored the charming downtown area for a bit, and indulged in ice cream from the local ice cream parlor. My extended family also hosted a birthday dinner/pool day that weekend, and it was such a treat! I am so grateful for the time with them.<3 div="" nbsp="">

I was also blessed with some amazing gifts! I have been wanting a film camera for several years, and hubs made that happen this year- yay! My dad and stepmom sent a generous gift certificate to B&H photo for film supplies too. <3 p="">

I also received an amazing gift from Grounds & Hounds from my sweet sister. Grounds & Hounds sells delicious fair trade coffees and gifts that support animal rescue.  "Every Pound Saves a Hound."  How cool is that?! I LOVE my coffee and mugs - amazing quality!! If you are like me, and microwave your coffee several times because you get too busy to drink it fast enough - the insulated tumbler has your name on it! They also offer a coffee subscription so that you never run out of your faves!

My other sweet sis gave me some of my favorite products from BeautyCounter. BeautyCounter offers high quality, clean beauty products as a safer alternative for a healthy lifestyle. If you haven't tried them, I highly recommend that you do! I particularly love their CounterMatch skin care line and the Melting Body Balm - so good!

My mom and stepdad gave me some absolutely beautiful gifts from Trades of Hope, which empowers women to create sustainable businesses worldwide. I love my gifts, and love that my family chose gifts that give back - what could be better than that?

I also received some beautiful handmade gifts from my kids, and many wonderful birthday wishes. It was so humbling!

Ok, enough about my birthday! I really just wanted to share some of those wonderful products with you. I am not an affiliate for any of them and do not receive any kick backs - just sharing a few great products that I love.
In other news - we also celebrated two of my favorite cuties' birthdays - tons of fun, and I took some more beach pics - panos are back. :) I also took lots of film pics, but have not developed them yet. Hopefully I'll have some of those to share soon - unless they are all horrible - which is a distinct possibility.
