Friday's Photo Favorites

Thursday, January 12, 2012

My favorite photo this week is from our trip to the museum in Richmond at the old Broad Street Train Station- I just love this walkway. The history of it begs to tell stories. I imagine couples, families, friends walking to the train platform to hug their goodbyes; fashionable ladies and dapper dans of the 20s and 40s dressed to the nines, children excited for their first train ride, young lovers forlorn, war heroes returning home...OK, perhaps I'm over-romanticising...but somehow it just speaks to me ;)

Linking up my entry here:

And another favorite new pic for good measure:

Thanks for stopping in. Hope you have a fabulous Friday and a beautiful weekend!

I love this shot from the train station. Oh, and the little ma'am is gorgeous, as always. I bet she has the best personality. :)

She has such sweet eyes! I love that train station photo, it's easy to imagine what once could have been...

I love this shot of the train station. It's easy to see how you could get lost in imagining the different scenes that played themselves out there.

That's a precious face in black and white. BUT, I really love that lead image with the long lines and repetition of arches and shapes. Beautiful capture.
