Tuesday Chatter

Happy Tuesday all! I am feeling a bit more chipper today as I have finally figured out my blogger troubles. Whew! Apparently it is an issue that many people encounter and there is NO helpful information in the blogger help files, nor do they offer customer service for "free" accounts, even though they charge $10 a year for custom domains. After hours of wasted searching, I finally found a solution in a chat room on blogger issues. Apparently, when you purchase a custom domain through blogger they automatically sign you up for a Google Apps account which governs your domain. Problem is, they don't tell you the user name and password for this account and you have to find a 'roundabout way to reset it. Brilliant. If anyone needs a solution for this issue, email me and I'll try my best to help.

Perhaps it is time to stop dragging my feet and make the move to WP. The only reason I have not done so is that it's difficult to justify the expense when I make nothing from this little blog. I don't really want to put up ads and affiliate links, but it's something I guess I'll have to ponder.

In the mean time, I thought I'd share this pic of Little Miss. She's getting into the terrible 3's stage (yes, I have always found 3 to be more difficult than 2!). Sometimes she likes to ham it up and sometimes she screeches if you even look at her. It's kind of like a toddler teen stage, minus a few hormones, lol. It is so hard to believe she'll be 3 in little more than a month!

P52- Week 28

Happy Monday all! I hope you had a fun-filled holiday weekend. We enjoyed some beautiful weather and took advantage of the pool at my mom's house. The kids swam like fish until they were water-logged. We also enjoyed the company of friends and family on the 4th with a traditional barbecue, then headed to the fireworks show downtown. I just love the 4th of July and it was a fantastic family day. What have you been up to?

I also have question for my fellow bloggers...my blog is hosted on a custom domain on Go Daddy through the blogger platform. It is scheduled to renew on July 16th. I have gotten notifications that it will not automatically renew and that I need to set up payment to renew it. The problem is that I get an error message "Invalid Request" when I try to sign in to Google Apps. I thought the user name and password were the same as my google profile, but either I can't remember them or it's just redirecting me to the wrong page. I've tried resetting password/username and it directs me back to my google account. I can't find anywhere within the blogger platform or google accounts pages to renew the domain. And, I get an error message from the "contact us" page so I can't access any help. So frustrating!! My question is, does anyone know how to renew a custom domain on blogger and can you point me in the right direction? Second question is does anyone know how to move to WP or someone that can help me do so quickly?

Thanks so much for any advice!! I've worked on this blog since 2006 and would hate to lose everything! I have backed it up, but my followers, subscribers, page rank, links....it would be terrible :(

Friday Photo Journal - Week 28

Hello friends! It is late and it has been a long, fun-filled 4th! We swam all day, ate with friends and family, headed to the fire works and came home for a second helping of dessert. 

It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed every minute of it. 

I thought I'd just post a quick recap and get the linky up before heading off to bed.

Onto Wordless Wednesday... I've had two client sessions so far this week and have another tomorrow. I thought I'd share a peek at what I've been working on. I had a fun senior session last weekend with lovely girl who was visiting the beach on vacation from West Virginia. She's a rising senior and she and her mama were the sweetest gals! We weren't blessed with a gorgeous sunset or golden summer skies...but we did manage to dodge the rain for an hour or so, which has been tough around here the past week.

P52- Week 26

Hello friends! I'm linking up my P52 late this week. It seems all I do is work these days and this poor little blog keeps getting pushed to the back burner. I have invested so many years into it and made so many wonderful friends, that it makes me a little sad to leave it so neglected. While I have gone from blogging nearly every day, to only a few days a week, I am determined too keep it up. I know this busy season won't last forever and my friendships are too important to me to let them fade away.
