WW- Fog on the River

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Happy Wednesday friends! It's so nice to see you. I'm a bit behind in getting my WW post up, but homeschooling takes precedence and I just couldn't get to my blog until this afternoon. So here I am, pulling up the tail end of the parade.

It isn't often that we get a good fog around here.  Last Saturday, as I shooed the kids out the door for basketball, I was kicking myself that we hadn't gotten up earlier so that I could sneak out to capture a few foggy pics before the game. All the way to basketball I was oohing and aahing over the fog rolled out across the river. I had my camera with me to take pics of my girl cheering, but I knew there just wasn't time to stop.

I was amazed when we headed back home a couple of hours later, and the foggy scene was rather unchanged. When we do have fog, it usually burns off completely by mid-morning. With my kids groaning in the backseat, I pulled off the road on the way home and snapped a few pics. I couldn't help myself. I love the dreamy, romantic look that fog lends to a landscape. And the mystery added by a little black and white processing just makes me swoon.

Wow. This is beautiful, and the fact that it is in black and white makes it all that more mysterious!

Oh my goodness this is beautiful! I really need to get out to the lakes while the fog is still there in the mornings. It's so stunning!

it was worth the wait!! The photo is stunning. Being land locked, it is a pleasure to see your fog on water.
