Little Things Thursday - Creative Captures

I love it when a plan comes together. Before a family shoot last week, I had a quick spark of inspiration for a shot at the beach. One $4 foam sword and a few hours later it all came together. I'm not sure this shot was on mom's agenda for the session, but I'm glad it was on mine. I love it. And I was darn lucky to sneak it in before we were told we weren't allowed on the rock jetty!

P52- Week 24

Hello friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend and a relaxing Father's Day. There was more work than celebration around here, but it was a gorgeous weekend nonetheless.

I have been so busy with work over the past week, that I'm afraid this little blog has been neglected. This week promises to be even busier, but I will check in as often as I can. Since I've been spending most of my time editing client photos, I haven't taken any photos of my own family except for a few iPhone snaps. What I'm sharing today is a pic I took yesterday evening after we'd had a swim at Nana's pool.

Friday Photo Journal - Weekly Link Up 25

Woo hoo, Friday is upon us! It was as hot as blue blazes here today, but it looks like we'll have some gorgeous cooler weather for the weekend. I will spend much of it working, but hope to hit the pool again for a few hours. What do you have planned?

Last week brought swim days, a birthday party and a family photo session in the country. It was lots of work, and lots of fun too. What did your week look like?

Little Things Thursday

Hello friends! Sharing a picture of my big 8 year old today. I am so thankful to have this wonderful, loving, creative child in my life. And filled with gratitude that she is healthy and well, and has grown into such a well-rounded, caring young lady. She's a fantastic big sister and my best helper around the house. She's growing up way too fast for my liking, but I am so proud of the who she has become.

WW- Family Farm Shoot

Hello friends! I am busy today editing a shoot I did last night for the sweetest little family. We headed out to Smithfield, VA to Windsor Castle Park and an old farm setting. It was a gorgeous night and I really had a great time chasing their little monkey around. I came home dirty, sweaty and exhausted. It was totally worth it! Here's a peek at what I'm working on:
