P52- Week 23

Greetings friends! We had a fun weekend full of summer festivities. Saturday we had a wet and wild birthday party for my big girl who is now 8 year old! We rented a giant slip and slide and the kids all had a blast. It was so much fun! Sunday we hit the pool at Nana's house for the first time this season. The kids swam like fish all day. 

It was a great summer weekend, and I'm looking forward to more of them.

Friday Photo Journal - Week 24

Hello my sweet friends! I am so thrilled that you are here.  It has been a week of ups and downs here at the Rich house, and more in store for the weekend. We have a Tropical Storm Warning in effect for Friday and a big outdoor birthday party planned for Saturday for my soon to be 8 year old. Oy! 

Praying for good news and smooth sailing on all fronts here. I still have packages to wrap and a cake to bake too. Better get on the ball!

I hope to visit you all this weekend, but if we lose power it may take me into next week to catch up. Please do link up and share your photos! I always love seeing them :)

Little Things and Big Kids

It isn't often that I get to photograph my 11 year old. As I have mentioned before, he's not too crazy about being in the limelight. But, yesterday he surprised me by asking me to take photos of him! He's been scootering like crazy the past week or so on his Razor scooter and trying new tricks...which make me nervous...but I welcomed the opportunity to capture him doing what he loves. 

He didn't want me to share many of the photos, but I got the okay to post this one. Technically, it's not the best shot, but I love it anyway...because he loves it :)

He's also been asking for a Go Pro camera. I think that would be an awesome creative outlet for him, but it makes me nervous to think of all the crazy tricks he'll try to do to get some cool footage. It is  purchase that will have to wait for now. I am curious though,  do any of you have one? If so, what do you think about it?

P52 - Week 22

Hello my friends! Happy Monday. We are headed out to our PE class this morning and then have a full day of homeschooling. Yep, we are still in school here. We actually go year 'round but to take shorter days in the summer. We still have this year's testing to finish up before we can relax a little. For those of you on summer break. Enjoy!!
