Monday Rewind Blog Hop

Life around here has been hectic. I have not had the time I would have liked behind the camera lately. But, I'm joining up again with Chic Homeschool Mama's weekly rewind and sharing my shots from the week.

The cicadas have been busy around here lately...and noisy! The kids found this guy out by the garage the other day.

Any day is a good day to swing.

Just a couple of post-rain pics.

And this one. This is the one that was a huge disappointment. The bees have been busy out by our salvia bushes. I really wanted to capture one in flight. I had a few minutes the other morning before the kids woke up and I dashed out back with my camera and snapped away. This blurry shot was the best I managed. My shutter speed was too slow. I will definitely try again and nail this one!  I'm on a mission now ;)

That's it for this week. Nothing spectacular, but I'm learning and each day brings new challenges. Here's to a new week! Happy Monday ;)

Bringing you the week in review through iPhone pics. I am often amazed by how well they turn out. And I love the freedom from bulky camera bags and the simple creativity that on the spot photography can inspire. I don't know if you visit The Pioneer Woman's Photography blog, but she recently had a photo challenge for phone photos only and WOW! Some were absolutely amazing!

Aloha Friday #105

 

Aloha bloggy friends! Hope you've all had a productive week. Can you believe back to school time is upon us?? We homeschool year 'round here, so the shift isn't quite as big for us. But, we do take a more relaxed approach in the summer, and fall does seem like an "new year." Though I am a little sad to see summer on its way out, I won't miss the extreme heat or the vicious mosquitoes. Still, it feels like an unusually short season. Like somehow I've missed something. Perhaps it was the lack of vacation, or the beach time we haven't made time for.  Whatever the reason, it just wasn't the summeriest of summers.

My question this week is: What have you missed this summer? Are you ready for Fall?
