P52- Week 10

Hello friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. I am beginning to see more and more signs of spring. Yay! I can't wait until all the trees start to pop. I love this time of year.

Friday Photo Journal - Week 10

Whew, Friday already? It's been another whirlwind week. Hubs was the one sick this week and I had a lingering sinus headache until yesterday. Now my big guy is complaining of an earache...enough already! Oh, I know, things could be worse. Fortunately, for the most part, we're all feeling better. And I hear we're supposed to have some sunny skies and warmer temps this weekend - near 60! I'm thrilled about that!!  Bring it on Spring. I could do without losing an hour of sleep though...

Anyway, I've babbled enough. On to the recap:

1. I ordered clothes for the kids for Easter, because you know, shopping with 4 kids is no cup of tea. My 5 year old is a little smitten with his hat and has hardly taken it off since it arrived. 

2. Little Miss is quite the drama queen these days when things aren't going her way.

3. My silly dane thinks she's human.

4. My big guy has started his advanced soccer season and his team is moving up in the league. Yay!

Little Things - Better Late Than Never

Hello there friends! I am sorry I haven't been around to visit as often lately. I have been super busy with  household chores since we were all sick for so long, and we are working through some family "stuff." Nothing major, but my boys have been rather rowdy of late, and have not been getting along as well as I would like. So, I have been tending to those issues and blogging has had to take a back seat.
I am also working hard to get the word out about my little portrait business and pushing to get some marketing done. That eats away at my time as well.
I am dying to get out into the sunshine and shoot! I have been rather blue about the cold, windy, wet days were are having. I can't wait for some warmer weather and would love to line up some custom portrait shoots! If you are local and would like to book a session, let me know. And tell your friends! ;)

I was really feeling rather uninspired and didn't pick up my camera much this week. Finally this evening I decided to get my rear in gear and at least play with some window light. I am glad I did. I love the drama of this shot and creating it lifted my spirits.
Thank goodness I had a willing model in the house :)

Happy WW friends! I'm feeling rather uninspired with the dreary cold weather and icky cold germs we've been fighting lately.

Simple Things Sunday- Wild and Free

We're finally getting over the "ick" here at our house.  It's been a long week! I'm sure looking forward to brighter, warmer, spring days filled with fresh air and sunshine.

My simple thing today is cherishing childhood moments that are wild and carefree. What embodies that more than a little boy swinging barefoot, kicking his heels up to the clouds? That's how this 5 year old likes to be. Can you blame him?
