In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
My question this week, as I plan my Memorial Day barbecue is: What is you favorite summer dessert? If you'd like to share a recipe, even better ;D

I came over from Alicia's blog...I'm a fellow homeschooler(I'd say eclectic as well). I love your blog....I'll be back to look around :)
Ice cream
My MIL makes chocolate icebox cake. Angel food cake on the bottom, layer of chocolate pudding and cool whip refridgerate. Its yummy.
Key Lime Pie...something about it just SCREAMS summer! Sorry no recipe. Hubby does the cooking around here and he's over at his Mamaw's working on her garden.
My Aloha Friday post is at: Bluegrassgal
We've been making popsicles like crazy around here. I blogged about our spinach popsicles a few weeks ago. I love that I can add anything to them, and as long as they have fruit in them and are sweet, the kids love them.
Lemon Merengue pie. Or strawberry shortcake. Or brownies and ice cream... YUM!
ice cream sundaes!
I think this summer I will enjoy a lot of "do it yourself" yogurt. Stores like that are popping up all around Santa Barbara, it's great!
Mine is just plain ice cream! Any flavor.
you can't go wrong with fresh strawberries, served with a dip of equal parts marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. Sounds vile, but is so delicious!
ICE CREAM! Preferably homemade. :)
Smoothies!
1 cup chopped ice
1 cup orange juice
1 banana
throw in any mix of frozen fruits
1.5 cups
Try any of these
blueberries
strawberries
raspberries
mango
pineapple
peaches
It's a great cool snack and if you like throw some sticks in them and freeze it for Popsicles!
I love dirt dessert....thanks for reminding me I've been dying to get the recipe from my mom! She has an amazing kaluha cake too!
We love to make snow cones or ice cream cones.
Ooooohhhh, just one? How 'bout Key Lime Pie, Cheesecake (any kind!), and Ice Cream, of course!
I've had frozen yogurt 3 times this week already. I'd have to say that frozen yogurt is my favorite.
I've always loved seedless watermelon! And I just discovered this year that I love strawberries! (My taste buds are still maturing.)
